So here we are, in California. We have been here for about three weeks, and each week has increased in its ability to exhaust me. The first week was spent fixing up our house. It was a lot of work. A whole lot of work. We painted the living room, dining room and both bedrooms (the master bedroom had about 7 layers of wallpaper and not much of a wall underneath that, so it was quite the feat to get it ready for painting). We currently have most of the work done and our enjoying our humble abode. Before and after pictures will most likely be posted soon, either here or on Facebook. The second week was teacher orientation, which was a whole lot more fun than working on the house, though still just as exhausting with all the information overload. But I love this school, and there is a really sweet family environment amongst the teachers, as well as the students.
